Beginner’s guide

Start here if peptides are new to you.

What peptides are

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the same building blocks as proteins. Some are approved medicines (tirzepatide and semaglutide, for example). Many others have only been studied in animals or in small human studies.

What “research use” means in the Philippines

Most peptides sold online here are sold as research chemicals, not as registered medicines. That means no doctor, pharmacy or regulator has checked the product. The only check you get is the seller’s lab report, which is why learning to read one matters.

How to read a protocol here

Every protocol keeps three kinds of information apart, and says which is which:

  • Label: the official schedule on an approved drug’s prescribing information.
  • Trial: what a registered clinical trial actually used, with the trial named.
  • Community: what people report doing, labelled as reports, not evidence.

Each protocol also carries one evidence label: Approved drug Human trials or Animal studies only.

Basic supplies

  • Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) for mixing powder vials.
  • 100-unit (1 mL) insulin syringes. 100 units = 1 mL.
  • Alcohol swabs.
  • A fridge, and a cooler bag with ice packs for deliveries.

Checking a seller

Look for a lab report that matches the batch number on your vial, comes from a named lab, is recent, and can be confirmed on the lab’s own website. Our guide shows how to read and check a lab report.

Where to start

Read the storage guide and how to read a lab report, then open the protocol you are researching from the protocol library.
