Cardiogen quick reference
What is Cardiogen?
Four-amino-acid peptide from a Russian research group.
Marketed as a heart peptide; no human trial exists.
Not the same as CardioGen-82, a heart-scan agent.
How Cardiogen works
Each short peptide stimulated growth in its own tissue's culture (2006).
In rat heart tissue cultures it raised growth and lowered p53.
In old rats it slowed a transplanted tumor, via the tumor's blood vessels.
What Cardiogen is studied for
Rat heart explants grew more at a very low concentration.
p53 fell in cultured heart tissue from young and old rats.
Four peptides each stimulated growth in their matching tissue culture.
Dose-dependent slowing of sarcoma growth in old rats.
Cardiogen dosing protocol
| Item | What the sources show |
|---|---|
| Human dose | Not established |
| Studied in | Rat heart tissue cultures and rats |
Do not confuse it with CardioGen-82, an unrelated heart-scan agent. ClinicalTrials.gov lists no Cardiogen peptide trial (searched 5 Nov 2026).
Label and trial amounts come from the sources below. Community amounts are what people report; they have not been tested.
Mixing
No human dose exists, so no prep example is given.
What the research found

Cardiogen community experience
What users report. Not tested in trials.
Positive reports
- Aging interest Talked about for heart tissue upkeep and healthy aging.
- Peptide family Often discussed with vascular and other short peptides.
- Measure-first view Readers push for objective tests, not 'felt better'.
Negative & mixed
- Few real reports No reliable collection of outcomes exists.
- Confounded Exercise, medicines and other peptides blur any change.
- Feeling is not function A better workout does not prove better heart function.
Cardiogen stacking
Heart versus vessel idea. Never studied together.
Broad aging pairing. No controlled evidence.
Cardiogen side effects & safety
Common
- No human safety data exists.
- Injection-site irritation is possible.
- Allergy to the peptide is possible.
- Interactions with heart drugs: unknown.
Less common
- Heart rhythm effects: never characterized.
- Active cancer: unknown, though it slowed a rat tumor.
- Long-term use: no data.
Precautions
- Heart disease or rhythm problems: see a clinician, do not self-treat.
- Chest pain, fainting or new breathlessness need urgent care.
- Avoid in pregnancy, breastfeeding and children.
- Heart medicine interactions: unknown.
Our verdict on Cardiogen
Cell and rat work only. No human data; the heart claims rest on tissue-culture results.
Cardiogen FAQ
Does Cardiogen help the heart?
No human study exists. Only rat tissue cultures and rats.
Is it CardioGen-82?
No. CardioGen-82 is an unrelated diagnostic scan agent.
Is Cardiogen approved?
Not as a medicine anywhere I found.
Who did the research?
A Russian group around Khavinson.
