Pinealon protocol

Pinealon is a 3-amino-acid peptide (Glu-Asp-Arg) from a Russian research group. It has been tested in rats and cells, and in a few small human reports. No large trial exists.

Not approved as a drug in the US or EUOnly small human reports; no large or independent trials found

The protocol at a glance

No dose is set. The human reports I could read used it by mouth and did not state the amounts.

Studied inRats, lab cells, and small human reports

Human reports come from a 2020 review by the developing group (Khavinson et al.) and a 2015 gerontology study. ClinicalTrials.gov lists no Pinealon trial (searched 5 Nov 2026).

Community reports

Community notes report nasal use at 200 mcg to 1 mg a day for 10 to 20 days. These are user reports, not trial data.

What people say they do, collected from community discussions. Not tested in a trial; shown so you can compare it with the evidence above.

Mixing

No mixing table here: this one is used as a capsule, nasal spray or skin product, or has no human amount to calculate from. The general mixing calculator works for any vial.

What the trials found

Small human reports, as summarised in a 2020 review. No effect sizes are given:

72Patients with brain injury effects given oral Pinealon plus standard care; better memory, shorter headaches reported
32People aged 41 to 83 in a study of Pinealon and Vesugen; slower biological aging by the authors' measures

Khavinson V et al., Molecules 2020 (PMID 33396470); Adv Gerontol 2015 (PMID 26390612).

Side effects

  • The 2015 study found signs of more oxidant activity and fewer CD34+ blood stem cells, which its authors read as slower blood-cell production.
  • The same authors reported no change in chromatin condensation.

How it works

Antioxidant effect

In lab cells, Pinealon lowered reactive oxygen species and cell death under stress.

Rat brain

In rats, it improved learning in pups born after a pregnancy with high homocysteine.
